Urging the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners to work cooperatively with the City of Key West and the Key West Housing Authority to ensure ongoing operation of the senior living facility at Poinciana Gardens; Urging the County Commissioners to consolidate the facilities by moving residents and staff of Bayshore Manor to the Poinciana Gardens Facility in the best interests of the staff and residents of both facilities; Urging the County Commissioners to operate the facility known as Poinciana Gardens as widely accessible to senior citizens and disabled residents; Especially to persons in lower income categories.
