CHARGE: Violation of Code of Ordinance Section 14-37 Permit required; 18-117 (8) Aid or abet unlicensed person.
On June 15, 2016 code received a call from Building Inspector David Ray regarding unpermitted work at a swimming pool at 1217 Royal St. Inspector Ray had advised the workers on site to cease work and they refused. Code Officer Waite joined Inspector Ray at the site and met with Dimitrus Bisen whom stated he subcontracted the work from Charles Wicht of Crystal Clear Pools. The other men at the scene were day laborers. The workers departed the scene. Officer Waite placed a stop worker order at the property.
PERMIT APPLICATION: As of July 9, 2016 no permit application has been received by the Building Department.
LICENSING: Crystal Clear Pools of Big Pine Key Inc, Al Wicht qualifier, is a Registered Pool/Spa Contractor with active state and city license. Al Wicht's competency card is delinquent. Charles Wicht is president of the company.

CHARGE: Violation of Code of Ordinance Section 14-325. Installation of A/C system without permit or HARC approval.
On June 1, 2016 code received an anonymous complaint that A/C was installed in the setback at 1211 Grinnell without permit or HARC approval. On arrival Code officer J. W. Waite observed a van marked "American Cooling Service" parked in front. The officer spoke with the property owner Paul Savage whom advised he was replacing an existing A/C. Mr. Savage stated that the installation was complete. A stop-work-order was not issued. On June 2, 2016 inspector Waite observed two American Cooling work trucks at the same location. A stop-work-order was issued.
PERMIT APPLICATION: 16-2369 "Replace outdoor condensing unit with new unit to be anchored to existing concrete pad."
