Urging the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners to work cooperatively with the Key West Housing Authority to ensure the continued operation of the senior living facility known as Poinciana Gardens; Stating that the facility should be widely accessible, especially to persons in lower income categories; Stating that the City Commission finds that senior citizens and disabled residents need this facility to succeed to allow them to stay home in Key West, close to friends, family and familiar surroundings, while receiving the type of assistance they need to live a full life.
